Master thesis project

In collaboration with Agroscope Zürich Reckenholz, we offer a position for a Master thesis project in the are of applied molecular genetics. The main aim of the project is the Identification of candidate genes controlling resistance against crown rust in Italian ryegrass. The research will focus on

• Phenotyping of a nested association mapping (NAM) population for crown rust resistance
• Conduction a genome wide association Study (GWAS) using the available genotyping data together with the newly obtained phenotypic data
• Identification of candidate resistance genes
