Master Sales Pitch Follow Up

Hey everyone - what's going on? It's Brandon Bornancin, your host of sales strategies, tips and best practices to crush quota. Just driving to a client meeting and figured I'd share a strategy to master your sales pitch follow up.

Any time that you're pitching a new prospect and finalizing next steps for the deal, make sure you put together your email follow up and thank you right away. I would even actually have a template prepared before the meeting. If you're prepping to pitch, have a thank you email template ready to go in advance that you can quickly personalize and shoot out to your prospect.

What that does is, right after the meeting, you want to include something personal about what you guys had talked about and next steps to move that deal forward. Next steps are, one, I'm going to get you the deck. Two, I'm going to get you pricing. Three, we're going to present this to your chief information technology officer, whatever that may be. In that email include the thank you, everything you promised to follow up on and identify next steps, and shoot it off right away. Before every pitch have something prepared, ready to go. Get in the pitch, crush it and then follow up immediately after that pitch.

What that does is it ensures that you never miss a follow up for anyone that you've spoken to. It's really easy to get behind. If you're going back to back pitches, like for instance, I do 10, 13 calls a day, if I don't send that thank you email, personalize the prospect with next steps identified, I may never remember exactly what we had talked about, what we both need to do to move the deal forward and what are the priorities to keep the deal going, so that's why I highly recommend to master your pitch follow up. Write your thank you email in advance, so that way right after the pitch you can quickly customize and get that out the door. I hope that you find this strategy to master pitch follow up of value.
