Master Java Coding with GitHub Copilot: My Latest YouTube Guide

Hello fellow developers! I'm excited to share my latest YouTube video, "Copilot For Java", where I delve into the power of GitHub Copilot as a sidekick for Visual Studio Code.

In this guide, I walk you through a practical example of using Copilot with Java and Spring Boot, demonstrating how to refactor an existing project. You'll see firsthand how Copilot can provide real-time Java code suggestions and assist with your programming tasks.

Here's a sneak peek of what you'll learn:

  • Creating a Rest Controller (1:27): I show you how to create and annotate a rest controller, and how Copilot can generate a rest controller with the paths of forward slash.
  • Adding a Validated Annotation (4:58): Learn how to add a validated annotation to validate the class, create a private variable of the final repository, and generate a post method to create a to-do.
  • Creating a Get Method (8:10): Discover how to create a get method to retrieve the to-dos.
  • Creating Unit Tests (8:30): I guide you through the process of creating unit tests for the project, annotating the class with @WebMvcTest, and auto-configuring it. You'll see how to wire up your beans and create unit tests with Copilot's assistance.

By the end of the video, you'll see why GitHub Copilot is an incredible tool for streamlining work and increasing efficiency, allowing us developers to focus on complex and creative tasks.

Remember, while Copilot is a powerful tool, it isn't perfect. As developers, we're responsible for our own code, whether AI-assisted or not.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to level up your coding skills. Watch the full video here and let GitHub Copilot be your co-pilot in your coding journey!

Good afternoon to handler this account. I have an issue with my vs code the git attention. I noticed that almost all the files on my system I've been deleted on my vs-code during the pushing to a repository as a result of improper setup. I want to revert all git action and possibly deactivate it
