Master how to Make Others Want to be You!!
It is definitely a nice feeling to know that others aspire to be you, to enjoy your lifestyle and whatever niche you have created. Human beings are naturally curious about their peers, and often have secret role models that they are inspired by, even if they do not care to admit this.
Many successful and prominent business people recognize that having a mentor contributed to their success. Richard Branson will openly share that he was inspired by the late Sir Frederick Laker, of the Laker Airways company. No one can doubt his success from such humble beginnings, and even now he is part of a mentorship programme as he recognizes that aspiring to be someone else is a worthwhile ambition.
There is a majestic feeling in knowing that others seek to replicate a style that you have developed for yourself. Maybe you wear Hugo Boss suits and are styled impeccably, or simply wear an unusual item, and yet carry it in such a way as to attract admiration. People naturally like uniqueness, so there may be many people who are secretly aspiring to be you without you being aware.
Here are the basic tips on how to master making others want to be you more than anyone else:
- Believe that you are unique and rare
It is quite normal to not distinguish yourself as being different or unique from your peers. However, people do aspire to beautiful and unique things, so feel proud that you receive admiration;
- Recognize your self-worth
It is always important to remember that your worth is not just about your outward appearance, and equally if you value yourself so will others. This is not just based on looks, and in fact, inner beauty and value set far outweigh external attributes. Inner confidence of the person you truly are; is probably one of the most attractive personality traits;
- Respect yourself
This may seem unimportant, however in truth it is all important. People are judgemental and will often judge with the eyes at first glance. A person who takes pride in their appearance and inner being is always apparent immediately. Ask yourself whether you would respect someone who has no respect for their own being even in terms of how they carry themselves, or by what value set they hold;
- Focus on improving your professional life or career
Most people do not recognize that being intellectual and successful is "sexy". This has nothing to do with looks, although that would clearly be a bonus; but from inner confidence, success and your overall status in society. This may at a first glance seem to be a vain attribute, but success is subjective. You can be successful in many roles that do not mean you run a global company, or have responsibility for many staff. Success may even be judged by having the tenacity to follow your dreams. It is more about recognizing where you want you career to go to, knowing how you will achieve this and appearing confident.
Clearly, the challenge of making others want to be you is actually about self-development, confidence and pride. This is something that each one of us can strive for easily, and be honoured to know we have the respect and admiration of our peers.
