Master the End of the Year Sales Game



The fall is my favorite time of year as a business owner. There is something about October that I think clicks in people’s minds that the end of year is near. Monthly reflection on numbers is essential in sales and business, and this time of year is no different. However, the Fall also signifies when many businesses are looking at their budgets for the next year and looking at new opportunities to prep or plan into their budget.


Below are 3 tips to ensure you not only have a strong month of October, but to help carry you through the remainder of the year.

  1. Raise your Standards

How did last month go as far as reaching your targets? If you reached your goal, it may be time to choose a bigger target. Stretch yourself this month to see what is possible. If you did not hit your target, what habits or behaviors must change in order for you to be more effective? Maybe that means 1 less night of Netflix to properly plan out your week. Be real with yourself. In sales there is a lot of time that no one knows what gets done except for you. Own where you are falling short.


     2. Check your Limiting Beliefs

         If you have chosen a goal that you do not actually believe you can attain, you     subconsciously will sabotage yourself every time. What is coming up for you around your goals for 2019 and how you will finish the year? Do you feel unconfident in an area of your business you can get support in from a mentor? Can you schedule time to plan more effectively or to research the topic more in depth to increase your clarity in this area? Sometimes verbally processing your hangups with a trusted mentor or coach can help squash limiting beliefs that may be preventing you from hitting your goals.

        


     3. Change your Strategy

         We all know that if nothing changes neither will we. Do you need to change the number of outgoing calls you are making weekly to be on pace or catch up for your goals for the year? What did not work last month that you can change to influence of this month? Do not get caught on Auto-Pilot and actually make the adjustment. 


A lot can still happen in the final 3 months of 2019. Use the tips above to check in and make in impact on your numbers this year.
