Step 1. Dream Big: Start by envisioning your ultimate dream or aspiration. Think about what you truly want to achieve in the long term. This is your “Someday Goal.”
Step 2. 5-Year Goal: Break down your Someday Goal into smaller steps. Create a 5-year goal that aligns with your bigger dream. What milestones do you need to reach within this timeframe?
Step 3. One-Year Goal: Now focus on the next year. What can you realistically achieve within the next 12 months to move toward your 5-year goal? Set specific targets.
Step 4. Quarterly Goals: Divide the year into quarters (3-month periods). Define goals for each quarter. These should be actionable and measurable. Adjust as needed.
Step 5. Monthly Goals: Break down your quarterly goals further. What needs to happen each month to stay on track? Set monthly targets.
