The journey to becoming a PWFO Independent Financial Control of Wealth (IFCW) Swiss Certified, a position that enables the provision of Independent Financial Control of Wealth to Families and Private Clients, is now more practical and accessible. The path includes 12 insightful modules followed by an examination, which then leads to admission to the exclusive PWFO Swiss Certified Association as a Fellow. Admission as a Fellow Member grants the authorization to use the designation and the Logo.
Drawing from the knowledge I gained servicing UHNW Families, I will illustrate and delve into the processes involved in becoming an IFCW. We will walk through the seven steps that a IFCW Swiss Certified needs to follow to deliver professional services. In this newsletter, we are covering the "Information Gathering" process.
The Information Gathering process aims to understand the client’s objectives and financial situation, through the use of a risk and return questionnaire and the Know Your Customer (KYC) procedure. It involves the collection of all bank statements, advice, circulars, and current mandates.
