Masks, Wow, Masks

Masks, Wow, Masks

I met this great guy via an online business group. He’s based in LA. He told me he hadn’t left his bubble for 15 months.

I invited him for coffee. I told him I’m fully vaccinated, outside of the 2-week window for the last shot, and he said he was the same. He was a bit hesitant. I told him that we could dine outside.

We met. Had coffee at a lovely place in LA that feels like a slice of Paris. Great food, granola, coffee and tea. Truly amazing conversation. Just...fantastic. 90-minutes passed in the blink of an eye. As we parted he said to me “I feel so good! I’m back."

My life has proven to me nothing – nothing – is a substitute for in-person energy exchange. Nothing. We don’t have to return to massive meetings since that’s not what the CDC clearly recommends, but connecting in the same physical space is the trick for all of us.

I can’t tell you how to do that. I can say its life-changing, and right now, we want similar physical space connection. It reminds us why we’re alive. It’s how we truly come alive.

Find your sweet spot. Find a way to be with others in-person. I’m not saying put together a mosh pit of a party. I’m saying find some way to do it, in some manner that works with your boundaries.

It’s life-changing.

An important reminder! Thank you for sharing.
