Marx and spenders
As we have just four weeks until the election, the wait for the manifesto promises is almost unbearable.
I tend to have a rather cynical if not agnostic view on politicians, no doubt formed with some up close and personal encounters with them over the years.
Why would anyone want to stand for election these days?
The prospective MP today appears to have no view of their own, cannot answer a straightforward question with a straightforward answer or cut a lawn with a Flymo.
So when those finely crafted, 'fully costed' manifestos come out we move very quickly into the realms of fake or unverified news.
Has the time come to make politicians personally responsible for the promises they make to get elected?
Is it time for all political advertisements to carry ‘health’ warnings?
