Marvelous May

Marvelous May

May is the last month before we officially start summer break. I never thought I would be as ready as my kid is for summer, but it has happened. I am definitely ready to relax a bit and slow down - no homework, less sports and activities and a lot of quality family time. Count me in!

I have spent a lot of time the past few weeks meeting with various operators and looking at possible opportunities to roll out to our investor club. Various asset types are being considered including: multifamily, build-to-rent portfolios, a debt fund and even car washes. If you are part of the Ohana Investor Club, you will get more information on these opportunities as they come to fruition. If not, what are you waiting for?! Sign up as an interested investor?HERE.

I have recently had the pleasure of hosting some fun events, with more coming soon (keep reading for more details). Check out the highlights from a recent investor event by clicking the link below.

If you're interested in real estate investing but don't want to be a landlord, there are other options to consider. Many investors turn to real estate syndications or a real estate investment trust (REIT). Both options are accessible to investors and offer different advantages.

Real estate syndication involves pooling money from multiple investors to purchase a property or properties. The investors then share in the profits and risks of the investment. REITs, on the other hand, are companies that own and operate income-producing real estate. Investors can buy shares in the REIT, which allows them to profit from the rental income and appreciation of the real estate assets.

Both options have their own unique benefits and risks, so it's important to do your research and consider your investment goals before choosing which one to pursue.

Read more about the differences below and find out which one is right for you and your goals.

If you are a business owner, then you don't want to miss this!

Small businesses face many challenges on a day-to-day basis. Many were hit especially hard during the pandemic. Some businesses saw a decline in gross receipts and some businesses were forced to close down or alter their business in some way through government orders.

For many business owners, including myself, every penny counts, and finding ways to access funding to run their business is critical to their success. This is where the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) comes in. Small businesses, who are eligible, can take advantage of this government program and receive a payroll tax credit that is immediately fully refundable.

To be eligible for the payroll tax credit, businesses must meet certain requirements, which we will review at this meeting.

If you are local, please join us to learn more about this program at the event below. If you are not local or know someone this resource can benefit, please reply to this email and we can set up a convenient time to chat.
