Martial Arts Superheroes

We’ve always talked about unleashing Asia’s greatest martial arts superheroes, but it has never hit me harder than when I experienced ONE Middleweight World Champion Aung La N Sang in his element. Here’s a guy who, whenever he steps foot in Myanmar, he is immediately mobbed by a throng of passionate fans. Everyone wants his autograph, everyone wants a photo. Now, normal guys would sign a few autographs and take a couple of snaps, but very few would do what Aung La did. We were in Yangon, and instead of Aung La avoiding people who got too close, he embraced them. Fans swarmed him. He signed every single autograph that day and took every photo. It took hours, but Aung La stayed until he had spent time with everyone there.

These are the kind of role models we support in ONE Championship, humble individuals like Aung La who understand they are in a position that can inspire and influence so many lives, and who rise to meet this challenge.

At ONE Championship, our main objective is to inspire the millions of people in Asia to better their lives through martial arts. One way we have accomplished this is by unleashing Asian martial arts superheroes, extraordinary individuals who have told amazing stories, igniting the hopes and dreams of their fans who look up to them.

This 2017 has truly been phenomenal for me, and such a privilege to help bring these stories to light. I can’t wait to share more stories with everyone in 2018.

As we spend the next few weeks with our families and those who are close to our hearts, we should look back on what was an awesome year and look ahead to what will be an even greater year to come. Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays!
