On 23 June Marsyas Trio ran a one-day creative audio-visual workshop with filmmaker Julian Hand and composer Laura Jayne Wells for a group of 16 pupils (Years 9 and 10) at Canary Wharf College. We introduced students to the use of extended techniques in music, experimental camera-less filmmaking techniques and the concept of making a graphic score.

We were hugely inspired by the creativity of the young people, who produced 6 wonderful audio-visual artworks, and their openness towards contemporary classical music.
