Based in Baltimore, MD, its reach is global touching some 200 plus nations around the globe. On the ground, Bmorenews has covered news in Jordan, Jamaica, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Canada.

Nationally, Bmorenews’ presence is strongest on the East Coast where it has honored some 1,700 entrepreneurs with Black Wall Street Awards. Established in 2011, Bmorenews’ Black Wall Street Awards were designed to celebrate Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race. To date, the awards have been presented in New York City (beginning with the United Nations), Maryland, Washington, DC, Richmond (VA), Atlanta, and New Orleans.

Bmorenews has also covered the White House on more than 40 occasions.

Bmorenews’ greatest contribution, however, may be its former prison ministry at Baltimore City Detention Center for 14 to 17 year olds. All charged with adult crimes, Bmorenews’ “Love 4 ‘L’ Prison Ministry” provided educational services for the young men, some of whom have gone on to lead productive lives.

Bmorenews’ 5-point platform includes: Black business, public education, ex-offender services, affordable housing, and universal access to health care.
