After being asked what makes your spouse so special, the Shulamite gave a list of poetical praise of her husband (Song 5:10-16). Needless to say, she didn't have the low view of marriage that some subscribe to as a "hetero-patriarchal institution that oppresses women." Rather, she found joy in it and saw the composite of strength, beauty, and character in her man.

Men, are you living in a way that would be worthy of such a compliment? Women, do you recognize and appreciate your husband and what he brings into your life? Just some of the many lessons in the greatest song written.
