Marking my 30 days milestone as CEO
I was honoured to be asked to lead AWE as CEO on an interim basis. In my time with AWE over the past 2 years, I’ve had the opportunity to experience many aspects of the business and meet so many great people who are critical to our mission. As I now step into this new role and reach my 30 days milestone, I wanted to share some thoughts on what makes AWE what it is today, and the pride it gives me.
AWE’s heritage and its history continues to influence and drive the company.
Over 70 years since the foundation of the organisation, AWE has remained at the forefront of science, engineering, manufacturing, and complex programme management. As we head into the next 70 years, AWE’s proud heritage has set us up for an incredible future in support of our vital role in keeping our country safe and secure.

In the past 30 days, I‘ve?been speaking with teams across AWE as part of our annual business briefings, and this has only further emphasised the immense value that our people bring to AWE. We’re a company that has people at its centre. Without the support and skills of every individual that makes up this company we would not have come this far over the past 70 years in making our mission a reality.
As I continue this new chapter, I’m humbled to be able to contribute my experience and vision to this position. I’ve great hopes for AWE and I’m excited about continuing to build relationships and work alongside such a dynamic team of experts.
