Marking gateposts on the wall

Marking gateposts on the wall

I hope you are well. This week has been intensely busy, working with an amazing team of volunteers to provide free three-month turnaround planning for business owners (see 2Y3X.com/probono). These businesses have come from a remarkable variety of sectors: agencies of every size (of course), social impact companies, engineering firms, wellness, retail, events and so on. It has meant long days sometimes, and it's been challenging.

For me "challenging" has always meant exhilarating. Yet it's all against a backdrop of emotional ups and downs – of the people we're close to, the people who have come for assistance with their businesses, and ourselves as we adjust to this weird cold turkey from broader human contact. I haven't yet started scratching gatepost day markers on the walls, but I might soon.

So gathering people together is important. We have a brilliant excuse for doing so coming up on the morning of May 22nd. Sarah Vick (grew Reading Room to 250 people before joining The Panoply PLC) on the crisis leadership playbook, Owen Pringle (ActionAid, Amnesty) on culture, Nathan Anibaba (Agency Dealmasters podcast) on how to sell during the crisis... and me on Pivot roadmapping and growth acceleration. We will be holding a teaching event for people who want any of the following:

  1. A 2Y3X-based planning tool for a 90-day pivot so your business can truly accelerate
  2. A rationale and approach for crystallising your proposition so you can compete
  3. The playbook for managing through tough times
  4. Building a resilient culture ready for a post-pandemic world
  5. How to win new clients when times are hard

Details and tickets here:

On proposition, 2Y3X's Mia McTigue-Rodriguez has written a great short article about it. Rather than include it here I thought if you were interested you might want to have a read.

We also have a shiny new page on our website about it if you're interested in seeing some great proposition examples.

I hope you stay safe and well, whatever your circumstances. And let me know if we can help: me, our team, the friends we've made, are all on hand if you need some support.

Best wishes

Felix
