Marketing Your Book, Part 25: Book Promotions, Part III

Marketing Your Book, Part 25: Book Promotions, Part III

1. Bookfunnel. . . is my favorite way to giveaway books, and in some cases, sell books. In fact, it's the easiest, best, and most cost-effective way to deliver digital books to readers (for free, and even if you charge for them), including your Advanced Reader Team, people who visit your website, or attendees of your next speaking event. For $100 a year (I know, right?!), or $150 if you choose email integration, you can give away thousands of copies a month to eager readers who someday may become clients and/or super fans.

2. Pinterest. Ya'll know I don't love social media, but I do love effective social media. Here's a video to help you find more book sales and readers from this cool platform (I don't remember the last time I cooked something new without consulting Pinterest for the best recipe). Pinterest is underutilized by nonfiction authors, so there's plenty of opportunity for growth.

3. Pace yourself. While not an official book marketing tactic, I would be remiss if I didn't recommend you look at book marketing as something you're going to do daily for the rest of your life (like personal development, brushing your teeth, or walking your dog). Mark Victor Hansen told me to "do 7 things every day" to market my book. Seven is a lot! It can be overwhelming and might even cause you to ultimately do nothing. Instead, choose a smaller number and consistently do them. You'll be so glad you did!

Well, here we are at a Friday once again. I'm curious—out of all the advice I've shared, which idea has been the most helpful so far? We've got one more week of marketing advice coming your way starting Monday. Then I've got another series in mind. Have a fantastic weekend and happy book marketing!

Been reading every one of these emails the last few weeks and they have all been fantastic. There is only one other person's newsletter that I read every single one. But that is because you give out more value than anyone else does as far as I am aware. So THANK YOU!
