How far in advance do you start working on a marketing campaign?
Timelines need to be flexible, but we generally like to announce 2 months prior to an event, with a good 5-6 weeks prior for planning - if possible!
What is the first thing you do when you start working on a campaign?
Write a clear to-do list! This makes a world of difference when planning to announce an event, knowing what's the priority each day, (and sticking to it!)
What is one of the challenges involved in marketing an event?
So many things can change even at the last minute! It can really come down to the wire, so you just need to be flexible at all points in the campaign. Luckily we have some amazing designers and video editors who are fantastic at working on the fly!
How do you ensure that the right people find out about festivals & events that are relevant to them?
We market our shows wherever our audiences may be, there's no one rule of thumb as every type of event has a different unique audience. We'll tailor our strategy, creative, even our tone of voice, for each show to make sure that the right message resonates with the right audience.
What makes a successful campaign?
A sold out event! But just as important is growing the brand's awareness with the audience, and building a strong positive community around the event.
What's do you enjoy about being a part of the Untitled marketing team?
Knowing that the work I do, directly contributes to the artists I admire being able to make an income from their music is pretty special. I love being able to work on an event that starts as a concept on paper, being brought to life by being publicly announced, helping push ticket sales, and eventually becoming a real-life event.
