Marketing Tactics I'm Using to Grow My Business with Digital Marketing
Two months ago, I launched a new offline business, and I'm excited to share that we're about to surpass 100 sales! The growth has been so rapid that I've already recruited two team members and am in the process of hiring more. In this article, I’ll share the marketing tactics that have truly worked for me, so you can use them to grow your business and increase your sales.
1. Understanding Your Customer
One of the key things I’ve focused on is truly understanding my customer. I spent a significant amount of time identifying who is most likely to not just purchase once but to return consistently. Repeat customers are the backbone of most successful businesses. If you're relying on one-off purchases, it can be challenging to scale unless you're heavily focused on referrals and word-of-mouth marketing.
Consider strategies that incentivise customers to return. You could add new products or services, create a loyalty program, or set up a subscription model where customers receive products monthly. For example, offering a discount for subscription sign-ups can be a great way to retain customers. Marketing should be laser-focused on attracting people who are likely to become repeat buyers.
Also, think about how you can elevate your product or service to give customers an outstanding experience. Continually seek feedback and improve your offering to ensure they want to return.
2. Master One Paid Ad Platform at a Time
When it comes to paid advertising, it’s essential to focus on one platform first. Whether it’s Google Ads, Meta (Facebook) Ads, Pinterest Ads, TikTok Ads, or LinkedIn Ads, each platform is unique. Each one has different audiences, creative requirements, and user expectations.
Instead of spreading yourself thin across multiple platforms, figure out where your target audience spends most of their time. Tailor your ads specifically for that platform, and only after you’ve mastered it and seen consistent results, should you consider diversifying to other platforms. You’ll find that major ad platforms offer more than enough traffic to scale your business before needing to branch out.

3. Focus on What Drives Immediate Results
Digital marketing involves a wide range of tactics—SEO, branding, social media, paid ads, email marketing, and more. However, you don’t need to do everything at once. My first 25-50 sales came before I even had a fully functioning website or SEO in place. Instead, I focused on the channels that would bring in customers immediately, like paid ads and email marketing.
You can always add branding, SEO, and social media strategies as you grow, but focus initially on what will drive direct results.
