Marketing Project Showcase: "Father-Son Italian Water Cake Adventure"

I'm thrilled to share one of the recent projects I had the privilege of working on with my talented marketing team at Livingcare.

Project Overview

This video project centred around a heartwarming theme – a father and son duo coming together to create an Italian water cake. This unique cake recipe required minimal ingredients, making it accessible to everyone, and we chose to infuse it with the refreshing zest of lemon.

My Role in this Project

In this project, I took on a multifaceted role as the project lead. From conceptualization to execution, my responsibilities included:

- Ideation: I initiated the idea to begin the video with the "pick a card challenge," a trendy concept from TikTok, which added an engaging twist to our video content.

- Liaison: I closely collaborated with our influencer, the dad-influencer, who specializes in documenting his adventures with his son. We coordinated the shoot, discussed the creative brief, and ensured a seamless collaboration.

- Storyboarding: I crafted a detailed storyboard, outlining the flow of the video, key shots, and messages we wish to convey to the audience.

- Logistics: Planning shoot days, sourcing and packing ingredients and baking tools, and managing logistics to ensure a smooth video shoot.

- Direction: On the day of the shoot, I provided guidance to the influencer, helping them deliver the desired content effectively.

- Coordination: I managed the post-production aspects, including coordinating with the influencer for content posting and promotion on various platforms.

Video Variations

To maximize our reach and engagement, we adapted the video to different platforms:

- A landscape video for YouTube

- A portrait video for Instagram Reels

- A shorter version tailored for TikTok and YouTube Shorts

Results

Our efforts paid off handsomely. The father and son, Jason and Zash, enjoyed their baking adventure and showcased the joy of spending quality time together. Our video received an overwhelmingly positive response, garnering over 6.5k views and eliciting more than 75 comments. What's particularly gratifying is that a substantial portion of the engagement came from non-followers, broadening our audience reach.

Highlighting ONYX Water Dispenser

Beyond the heartwarming moments, this video served another essential purpose. Viewers got a firsthand look at how easy it is to use our ONYX water dispenser. Even young Zash effortlessly operated the dispenser, emphasizing its user-friendly and kid-friendly nature. The video also underscored a vital feature that resonates with parents – the child lock function. This function prevents any accidental hot water dispensing, ensuring peace of mind when parents aren't around.

Personal Reflection


Working on this project was an absolute joy. Collaborating with Jason and Zash was not only professionally fulfilling but also incredibly fun. Witnessing the magic of a father-son bonding moment and knowing that our video brought smiles to our audience's faces made every planning detail and scheduling challenge worthwhile.

In conclusion, this project exemplified the power of creative marketing in showcasing a product's ease of use and highlighting features that resonate with our audience.
