Marketing Plans

Marketing Plans

There is not much magic in marketing plans. One thing is very clear and must be present at every stage, and that is the dynamism of the plan to produce and adapt itself in a situation of future changes, especially if you work in industries subject to local regulators, where changes can be a major influencing factor in the success and realization of the Marketing plan.

Some basic steps that our marketing plan must include (and this is true for all industries). :?

Research - Research is the first thing I define in the marketing plan. Why?

For several reasons :

A. To understand the market I am entering and targeting.

B. This will help me identify the advantages and disadvantages of my product (when I check it in the next step)

C. I can already identify what is missing, in the way of thinking of a customer without the influence of my product's advantages.

Learning - study your product, and know it in depth. Now that you have already known the competitors in the first stage, learning your product will help you in:

A. Your ability to understand in this step what can help you market against your competitors should naturally become clear.

B. Think about the need for your product and understand who your target audience is.

Target audience - one of the most significant steps in defining and building a marketing plan is characterizing our target audience for our product/products.

Since we are driven solely by data, we need to check and confirm the characterization of our target audiences.

Therefore, we can perform some or all of the following steps:

A. Produce some campaigns with survey questions about your product without revealing it.

B. Create campaigns to collect data to ask customers (if they agree to speak with you, of course).

C. Divide the product into several types of populations and ask for more accurate opinions.

The content phase - this phase is the heart of our marketing activity. Content creation will be established

For all the 3 steps that preceded us, what kind of content will we create?

A. Content that highlights our product's advantages over competitors.

B. Content that meets the needs of our customer (it can be a B2B or B2C customer).

C. Content that the potential target audience connects with.

D. Sales content.

E. Content that enriches our potential customer's knowledge - we want him to arrive ready and complete when he buys our product by providing him with informative content.

Regarding the marketing channels of all the great content you have created independently or by a third party, I will not expand here. This is because it is a lot of information and more suitable for another article. Follow it later :)

Service - you need to wrap all the stages of your marketing activity in a very effective service system on all the marketing channels you have chosen to use such as social networks, emails, chats, and more. The service should provide:

A. Professional answers.

B. Quick response.

C. Kind service.

In summary, these are only the basic steps that every manager or leader of a marketing activity must produce.

As mentioned, marketing channels are also chosen by understanding our target audiences. We will try to understand which platforms we can maximize communication with them.

Much of marketing works on trial and error. However, today there are very advanced marketing tools that help us perform optimizations automatically and even based on artificial intelligence.

Good luck?

Very important to know

You've precisely pinpointed the problem in the field and the reason it's overcrowded. As you wrote in the introduction, marketers want to "sell". The end goal of marketing should be to create and maintain a strong, value-filled relationship with the customer. This approach to marketing is likely to be more effective and sustainable in the long run than the "want to sell" approach.
