Marketing is More Than Just Ads
We often hear people say... "I’m working on our marketing," and they're just talking about an Instagram post or a performance ad on Google? Well, let's bust some myths today! ??
Picture this: You're at your favorite coffee shop. The aroma, the music, the way the barista knows your order - that's branding. It's like your coffee shop has its own personality, right? Now, that's a slice of marketing, but there's so much more!
Marketing, is like an iceberg. What you see – the ads, the social media posts, the logos (ah, branding!) – is just the tip. Beneath the surface, there's a whole world of 'making things happen'.
Think about it. Someone had to figure out what kind of coffee you'd love (hello, product development!), how to price it just right (pricing strategy in action!), get it to your local shop without a hitch (supply chain wizardry!), and ensure you leave with a smile (customer satisfaction, check!).
Philip Kotler , the marketing guru, tells us this: marketing is about creating value at every single step. It's not just about getting you to buy; it's about making sure you love what you buy and come back for more. ??
Marketing is the science and art of exploring, creating, and delivering value to satisfy the needs of a target market at a profit. a) Marketing identifies unfulfilled needs and desires. b) It defines, measures, and quantifies the size of the identified market and the profit potential. c) It pinpoints which segments the company is capable of serving best and d) it designs and promotes the appropriate products and services.
So, next time you hear 'marketing', think beyond just ads and cool graphics. Remember, it's about creating a story where every chapter adds value.

10 个月Kashyap Sanghani sir, Nicely stated what marketing actually is.. People mostly take sales and marketing on the wrong basis. Because Sales is a part of marketing so these two can be easily confused. Sales- What they think it is: Trying to sell someone something. Convincing someone to buy x. What it actually is: Asking questions and learning what someone needs. Helping them solve their problems. Marketing- What they think it is: Creatively showing someone why they need to buy your product right now. What it actually is: Creatively educating people on the value of your product and giving them the information to determine that they need it.
