Brendan Hufford points out a real struggle. Marketers are caught in a tough spot. They’re expected to show how everything connects back to revenue, but tracking isn’t easy with ad blockers, tighter privacy rules, and stricter browser settings getting in the way. Without solid proof, they’re often undervalued and face budget cuts.
Barry Hott really nailed all these points, but number two stood out the most. The truth is, your customers are everywhere—seeing ads on Meta, searching for answers on Google, and checking out reviews on TikTok. Meta might boast an amazing ROAS, but that doesn’t always line up with actual revenue. Plus, remarketing and brand campaigns can complicate things by taking credit where it might not be deserved.
