Are You Insane? -The Best Sales Close Ever!
One of my original and all-time favorite closes is taken directly from the pages of my most successful direct-mail sales letter— a single-page letter that has made tens of millions of dollars in several different industries, for both me and my clients.
The close goes like this:
Salesperson:?One of my all-time favorite quotes is one by Albert Einstein, whom I am sure you would agree was a pretty smart chap.
Prospect:?Sure!
Salesperson:?Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and yet expecting different results!
Mr. Prospect, if you don’t hire Legendary Marketing to increase your leads and improve your sales process, what do you think your results are going to be next year?
Prospect:?Probably about the same as this year!
Salesperson:?And that’s not what you want, is it—another year of poor leads and poor sales?
Prospect:?No.
Salesperson:?Then let’s get started in a new direction, one that will produce dramatically different results than you’re getting now! Doesn’t that sound like a better idea?
Salesperson:?Yes!
