Marketing Itamae: Slicing Up the Status Quo, Raw and Refined

Marketing Itamae: Slicing Up the Status Quo, Raw and Refined

In the world of marketing, the right opportunity comes once in a while—a chance to redefine everything, to shake up an industry bound by tradition, and to deliver something truly exceptional. This is where the concept of the Itamae—the expert sushi chef who serves raw fish with elegance—becomes the perfect analogy. I’m not here to disrupt the game; I’ve built a new one. Now, I’m looking for the marketing Itamae to take the status quo, slice it up, and serve it raw—beautifully presented, but undeniably bold.

In the property market, we’ve all seen the same stale patterns. 'Traffic' flicks through listings plonked on the portals by passives and agents who can’t be asked. This is the game we’ve been playing, and it’s time to change the rules entirely.

Five years ago I made a promise to help @NLC_2019: consumers should no longer bear the weight of purchasing properties that should never have been on the market—flats with toxic leaseholds, dangerous cladding, or exploitative service charges. It’s time to fulfil that promise.

I’ve made Material Information 'a thing', and now it’s time to serve up the status quo in a way that’s not just palatable but also compelling. Like an expert Itamae serving up a dish that’s both raw and refined, this isn’t just about challenge or disruption; it’s about redefining the game, offering something elegant and innovative—appealing in its boldness and its execution.

The big fish here isn’t just Rightmove or any single platform; it’s the outdated structure of property transactions. I’m not here to “eat the big fish" (credit to Adam Morgan),I’m here to serve it raw and refined, transforming how things are done.

The key is not just disruption, but reinvention—crafting an approach that’s far more compelling than anything that has come before. This isn’t about money. It’s about creating a legacy, to showcase everything I’ve learned and create something better than what's been done before.

I’m looking for a marketing genius: someone at the top of their game, whose experience complements mine, ready to take on their final masterpiece. Or perhaps someone at the beginning of their career, hungry for a challenge that will define their future. This is a bootstrapped project, already better than others where millions have been spent—and wasted.

Anyone fascinated by what I’m up to can get in touch before I find my Itamae. A bit like buying direct from Dyson, I can do a deal before the marketing costs have to be factored in. If you’re the one who can take this vision and elevate it, let’s work together to transform the property market—and serve it raw, as a work of marketing art.

It's not just about marketing. The by-product of Material information is a solution to the whole transaction process. I'm always willing to support that!
