MARKETING IN INDIA

MARKETING IN INDIA

After spending a month in social media promotion, I sort out few things what Indian startups missing in promotion. Startups majorly like E-Commerce based needs more traffic and valuable leads.

Guys !! I've made a simple chart to get genuine and valuable leads. As like before posts i'll move forward into the topic. The following points describe the best.

  • Awareness
  • Education
  • Promotin
  • Attraction
  • Expense high

Major thing in marketing is to make the people curious of what we gonna do !!

Its not simple as we think !! Idea should be out of the box and people should not see that in their life time. This can make a question in them !!

Lack of education is the failure for 80% startups in India, we are keen in promoting Gus and we forget whether our customer understood us or not. Take time in educating customers like promoting tutorial video’s and how you are doing your business. This will be a catchy thing in marketing and it can go viral if your business stratregy is not common.

Promotion : We are all good at that - spending some bucks to social networks whether we get valuable leads or not spend !! spend !! spend !!! Seriously its a waste of money without having attractive thing in posters and ideas in promotion. Promote its the backbone of the company - But try doing innovatively - Its not wrong to copy but have this in mind before copying so you won’t do that ( JUST BECAUSE IT WORKS FOR THEM … DOESN’T MEAN IT WORKS FOR YOU ALSO ) .

Attraction. :: Every one in the world is attracted towards something - attract your customers with gift cards and rewards that too instantly. In this digital world its easy to do anything instantly and customers also expect the instant rewards. Delay of time may reduce your customers hope on you. Do attraction and play a game to make them your dedicated customer. keep the customer on their toes, everyone loves a surprise! Try the gamification theory

Once the customer clicked on your ad move him directly to the product !! This may reduce his time in getting diverted and I call it as friction, be truthful to the customer show the price in ad and don’t add extra amount telling GST or other tax tis may make him move back, Each conversion is a gem - its your wish to throw it or make money out of that.

This is a short formula to calculate the conversion rate said on book - HACKING GROWTH

Desire is quantified by how much a product/service is wanted by a potential customer.

In contrast, friction is anything that causes the potential customer to ask themselves “is it worth it? Should I follow through with this?”

Conversion Rate = Desire — Friction

I suggest all digital marketers to read this book : It shows how Facebook, Airbnb, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram implement growth hacking techniques into their business. This adds credibility to the techniques and suggestions and makes for a more engaging read. If these practices are effective for Facebook and Twitter, I’m sure there is something worth taking note of for a startup with major aspirations.

Startups and tech companies, this book is for you! I say this because the strategies and ideas are targeted towards the types of products and services that you’re developing. The ideas are extremely relevant to startups because you learn that business growth can be achieved on a limited budget and simply throwing money into inefficient marketing campaigns can have dire consequences.

You can get the book in amazon in this link

This article is inspired from a talk with my boss !! Thanks for those valuable minutes boss :)
