As I have completed my 25 years in the beauty and fashion sector and have completed over 20 years in the UAE market, I am yet to see brands from the region on future-ready platforms like Metaverse.
The main reason for that is the fear of the unknown as most of the corporate decision-makers are over 45 years old and the average age of users on the newer platforms is 13 years only.

·????? Hyperdigital natives, with 60% of 7 to 12-year-olds and 78% of 13 to 17-year-olds owning a smartphone, in addition to tablets, gaming consoles, and smart televisions.
·????? Roblox has 80 million daily active users who spend 2.4 hours per day on the platform, with brands getting 11 minutes of engagement time with users on average.
·????? Brands working with content creators on these platforms allow them creative freedom to help boost authenticity and engagement.
·????? 90% of Gen Alpha identify as gamers, 46% of them have a debit card for e-commerce purchases, and by 2025, their spending power will pass over $5 billion.
·????? Format types on gaming platforms emphasize more skit-based, humor- and visual effects-driven formats.
·????? The UGC marketplace on Roblox is worth $3.5 billion. Upcoming e-commerce partnerships will allow brands to tap into this shortly.
