We’re delighted to be helping manufacturers get set for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), at the next Advanced Manufacturing Forum (AMF) Marketing Club event, which will be held at our Northumberland HQ next month.
‘How to Transform your Marketing for the Fourth Industrial Revolution’ will take place on Wednesday, November 6 and is part of the AMF’s ongoing Marketing Club series.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) merges software, hardware and biology, and is expected to overhaul manufacturing in coming years by combining big data with emerging technology in fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, virtual reality and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The AMF Marketing Club event will provide advice on how companies can modernise their marketing activities to succeed in the 4IR era and reach and influence 4IR customers.
Delegates will be able to learn from real life examples of how North East businesses have adapted their marketing for 4IR. The event will feature speakers including: Sophie Craggs, programme engagement manager, Digital Catapult – North East & Tees Valley, who will be presenting on how new connected, intelligent and immersive technologies that are now being used by industry; Philip Astley, managing director of The Expanded Metal Company, who will focus on the how virtual and augmented reality have benefited the business; and Maureen Askew, senior controller at Unipres, who will discuss how Unipres has adopted new technologies to create novel approaches to engaging with customers, as well as the wider community.
The AMF is a membership network which was established by the private sector to offer a single voice on behalf of the North East’s manufacturing community. It works with members and the wider business community to exchange ideas and knowledge to create business growth and success opportunities within the manufacturing industry.
Samantha Vassallo, founder and managing director of Horizon Works and board member of the AMF, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting this AMF Marketing Club event next month. It’s hugely important that manufacturers have a space in which they can learn from fellow innovators and discuss new ideas and technology, in order to grow.
“As we move into the 4IR era, embracing fresh thinking around marketing strategies and tactics will be crucial, and this event will help to inspire and support North East businesses who are gearing up for a major shift in the manufacturing landscape.”
Philip Astley, managing director of The Expanded Metal Company, said:
“We have been manufacturing expanded metal at our Hartlepool site since 1889 and are proud of our industrial heritage. But to be successful and sustainable, it’s vital to embrace new technology and approaches – and our use of a digital visualisation tool, developed from augmented and virtual reality technology, demonstrates our commitment to this.
“I’m looking forward to sharing our experiences with other manufacturers at the AMF Marketing Club and helping businesses in our region adapt and thrive as the fourth industrial revolution takes hold.”
‘How to Transform your Marketing for the Fourth Industrial Revolution’ will also include lunch and networking opportunities.
It will take place at Horizon Works, 14 Berrymoor Court, Northumberland Business Park, Cramlington, Northumberland.
