Marketing Dynamics in the PC era ...

Marketing Dynamics are going to be redefined over the next few months in the current global economic scenario. In the post COVID era, gone will be the days where CMO's KRA shall be limited only to overlooking key Marketing decisions and strategies. There will be an upsurge in the demand for a CMO who would be responsible to curate a strategy that will strike balance between establishing a strong Product Recall, Demolishing the competition, and translating indirectly into the revenues generated by the Product sales kitty. Cutting the long story short we shall witness the emergence of a new breed of CMO's who will not just look at Marketing but also holistically engage themselves in other key business areas of Business Development, Product Development, and Sales. So there will be two choices left for the existing CMOs 1) To upgrade themselves and accept the new challenge their organization and markets throw towards them and 2) To upgrade themselves and accept the new challenge their organization and markets throw towards them. Do you think I mistakenly repeated the first point ... No, I didn’t... I simply implied that those who would limit themselves only to the "M" would become redundant and eventually turn EXTINCT and those who would survive will have had adapted to the "S", "P", 'B" and "C" along with the existing "M". In my belief, this era "PC" (Post COVID or post-2020) will see more resource optimization and retention of resources who would be willing to perform the roles of 4 executives in 4 departments at the cost of 1 executive in 1 holistic department. This is how in my view will the way forward be.
