Women in DSO’s mission is to empower women in the Dental Industry and DSO space to grow future women leaders of the industry. Our founding board came together to create an empowering, safe and uplifting community of women leaders that welcomes leaders from the industry to experience firsthand how compassion, competence and a little creativity has been transforming the Industry.
As this community of leaders is growing, we are looking to grow our Marketing and Communications team to enhance and expand the reach of our industry-leading programs, and make these accessible to wider audiences of women leaders across the industry.
Marketing and Communications Manager will work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement marketing initiatives across multiple platforms to include designing, branding, events, digital & social media, print media, press/blog, and photo/video. Marketing and Communications Manager must possess exceptional design, branding, writing and analytical problem solving skills to support/formulate effective marketing campaigns. This indiviual will be responsible for overseeing the achievement of larger organizational goals and will need to coordinate efforts between concurrent projects with strong attention to brand management strategy, implementation, and execution.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan, execute and support marketing strategies to increase revenue, grow new membership and retention of current members/member companies.
- Create, coordinate and manage the organization’s outreach programs to the public, including advertising, support for programs, product launches, website, and press relations as well as internal program initiatives.
- Analyze and evaluate marketing program strategies to determine current and predict future performance and effectiveness.
- Support programs and committees to ensure a cohesive and effective message to the public.
- Organize promotional events at trade shows and other venues, coordinating with our staff to ensure prompt delivery of materials and merchandise.
- Develop and support membership lead generation and nurturing strategies.
- Identify weaknesses in existing marketing campaigns and develop pragmatic solutions within budgetary constraints
- Communicate with senior leadership about marketing initiatives and project metrics, as well as to brainstorm fresh strategies
What are the role requirements?
- Bachelor’s degree required (in either Business or related major).
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Graphic Design, Events Mgmt. and Marketing Communications.
- Non-profit and/or DSO Industry experience, preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team-based project experience, with a strong track record of successful internal and external relationships.
- Excellent analytic skills with the ability to provide solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Proficient with technology solutions including, Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Canva, Adobe, Hootsuite, Google Ads, Mail Campaign Systems and CRM etc.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven expertise in building and nurturing campaign programs for membership.
- Expertise with online content marketing and social media development strategies to include SEO, blog, events, and content strategy.
- Strong project management and organizational acumen with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to travel up to as needed (approx. 10%), which may include overnight stay.
