  • Don’t lose heart - A campaign is your child and as any other parent, it pains a lot when it doesn’t work. But hey don’t lose heart! You can always make some tweaks and make it work.

  • Stop stalking - Most of us, especially those who are new into the business literally stalks their ads accounts, and check in every hour or a few. It is best if you track things 1 or two times a day and note down what you need to note down.

  • Do not make big changes at once - Big changes usually totally disrupt the entire process and many times when you make such changes it changes the entire goal of your campaign and diverts you from achieving your primary goals.

  • A glance at the competition - It might sound like a cliche, but I am not talking about using tools like spyfu and all, to check your competition’s campaigns. I am talking about visiting their social media handles and check from what areas they are getting their engagement, if you analyze that you can easily sort out cities, age group, gender, and interests (you just need to check the comments and visit their profiles) only a few will give you the idea about what changes you need to make in your own campaign.

  • Bidding Strategy - AI and ML are playing really big roles in bidding strategy nowadays and it has made the entire task really easy for all the marketers out there. But it is not always wise to leave on it entirely. Remember there is nothing in this world that can match a human mind and instincts. Always start with a low budget and increase the bidding while moving towards scaling and optimizing the campaign. I know many will suggest to always bid bigger budget, but that way you will burn your budget quickly and if you have a limited budget you may end up buying it all in the optimizing process and might not have much when you will need it the most (at the time of scaling).

  • Multiple Ads and Shuffle - Always, and I really mean ALWAYS, have multiple ad groups with different creatives and content (with almost the same message), especially when you have completely figured out your TG. You might be thinking WHATTTT!! You may not believe it but your ads also get exhausted after some time and they also need a breather, and it is wiser to shuffle them in a week or two, personally, I prefer to have at least 5 variants of an ad. Reason! It helps my CPC and CPL in check and having a leash on your spendings helps a lot when you are working on a limited budget and hey every penny saved is every penny earned right?

So, there are the things you can try.

It worked great for me, let me know if it works for you too!

Till the next time!
