Substack has made quite a name for itself in recent years. Starting as a simple newsletter platform for writers, the platform has become a staple in many marketing strategies.
Think of it like a Patreon specifically for writers reporting up to three million subscriptions to this day.?
You can find all sorts of experts writing about topics from healthcare to finance, marketing, or short stories. Some newsletters are free to consumers and some are behind a paywall.

Now, Substack is allowing writers to support each other by putting together a "recommendation" list for their subscribers.
This is where new subscribers can opt in or out to follow a recommended list of additional publications in their network.
When a new subscriber opts in to follow another publication based on the writer's recommendation, Substack will keep track of this data. They will show the writers how many followers and subscribers they drove for the people in their network.?
I think this new addition is a positive step forward. I mean, you can’t have good marketing without some camaraderie, right?
