Marketing is about increasing demand and satisfying the needs of customers.

The first step is to create something worth making. To create something people want. Dogs won't like your dog food if it's bad, even if it's well marketed. A great product doesn't require that much marketing. This is the hard part.

The second step is to get the word out. See yourself as an evangelist. You need people to adopt, to try, to buy, and to experience your product or idea.

See, if you do these two steps right, chances are that people will talk and share the word about you to their loved and close ones.
