So, why chase after the wrong people?
Hello, my dear friend,
Welcome to the second edition of my weekly newsletter! If you're a new subscriber, thank you so much for subscribing, and welcome to the family of successful business owners, coaches, personal trainers, and consultants.
Trust me, this is no fluff. That being said, let's talk about something interesting today. It's so interesting, but often overlooked. What is it?
You will find out in the story I'm about to tell you.
In the bustling city of New York, Alex opened a bookstore called Prose 'n' Twists (because of his passion for books). He looked forward to curating a diverse collection of books to cater to the people in the city.
But Prose 'n' Twists faced an unforeseen challenge. While Alex decided to broaden the store's offerings by including a variety of genres, from fantasy to self-help guides to attract more customers, the store faced the challenge of actually connecting with its customers.
During the daily review, Alex noticed that the self-help section of the store was rarely visited, while the other sections were more crowded.
It became really evident as most of the customers who came to lend books were unable to get the books they wanted because they had all been rented or sold out and they were not interested in the other section.
The crucial lesson I want you to learn from this story... and what I'd be talking about today is "knowing your target audience". Alex failed to know and understand his customers before stocking his store with books. This made the bookstore struggle to provide what its customers truly desired which led to a loss for his business. I am sure you won't want to fail in your business.
But who is your target audience?
Your target audience is a group of people who you want to offer your product or service. Now, after finding your why, your next step should be to target people who will need your stuff and will buy them.
For example. If your business sells supplements, your target audience should be fitness enthusiasts, older adults, bodybuilders, health-conscious individuals, etc...
You shouldn’t sell to everybody, if not, you'd end up selling to nobody.
Tips to Knowing Your target audience

Motivational Quote
"Everyone is not your customer - Seth Godin."
The Reality
Just as Seth said, not everyone is your customer. So, you must find your customers to make profits in your business. As a business owner, if you don't know your target audience, you are setting yourself up for failure.
However, the real reality here is knowing your target audience is important but it doesn't guarantee success. Still, ensure you figure out who you should sell to.
So, have you figured out your target audience yet?
That's all I have for you today, I'm wishing you a lovely weekend ahead, filled with progress and clarity.
It's time to figure out who your customer is and leave the multitude.
Kind regards,
P.S. If you need help finding your target audience, you can book a 1:1 consultation call with me.
