Market Financial Solutions champions the interests of the bridging sector
Paresh Raja
Managing investment funds, delivering bespoke specialist finance solutions – bridging loans and buy-to-let mortgages.
Market Financial Solutions (MFS) is regularly called upon by the national and trade press to comment on the latest political and economic trends affecting the specialist finance sector.
As a seasoned bridging lender specialising in the delivery of finance solutions for residential investments and buy-to-letthrough to commercial and semi-commercialacquisitions, we are in contact with brokers and property investors on a daily basis. This gives us unique insight into how those within the property market are responding to major news stories.
As such, I regularly speak to journalists who require some expertise and insight into the latest goings on. Indeed, just last month I was featured in the Financial Timesresponding to Boris Johnson’s appointment as Prime Minster, amongst a host of other prominent trade titles.
More recently, I have also been voicing my thoughts on the Government’s proposed changes to legislation governing the property market.
Following the announcement by former Housing Secretary James Brokenshire to both abolish the selling of new houses as leaseholds, as well as reducing ground rents for all new leases to zero, City Matters published my column reacting to the news. Welcoming the reform, I said the move should be part of a broader strategy that addresses the challenges posed by leasehold arrangements.
“The property market is a complicated entity, and given the amount of attention placed on issues concerning Brexit, it is positive to see the government tackle an issue in need of urgent attention.”
This week, I have also had a featurepublished in Open Access Government, reviewing Boris Johnson’s touted changes to the tax system, including reforms to Stamp Duty. He also questioned whether the government would effectively support or hinder people from building a property portfolio.
As the UK prepares for Brexit, MFS will be on hand to ensure its brokers and borrowers are best placed to access specialist finance loans. What’s more, I will continue to feature in the press championing the causes of property investors, lenders and brokers, making sure their interests, thoughts and concerns are made known.
