Market crash

Market crash

This has been an interesting year to say the least.

Oil prices fluctuating, OPEC failing to provide any type of stability, Donald controversy, the Panama papers, bombings in Europe and let’s not forget the Zupta ordeal and well, not much can be said about the EFF .

The main reason for this post is to inform all I am on the market looking for my next assignment, position.

While I loved my time and experience with NES Global Talent, everything comes to an end, even though it was market induced and it was not performance related. I am positive about the company and what they stand for. Both the company ethics and the colleagues I worked with are great.
This is in no way a negative view of the company neither in country or internationally. The business is still strong and moving at a rapid pace. The position I had was to provide a personalized service, which I did, but, it could be done from anywhere in the world without the personalization.

The position I had was unique in all ways, I was based on the Chevron work site. Dealing with everything from account management, contracts, compliance, logistics, visas, SME , MINPET, accommodation, in country issue’s relating to the current market situation in Angola and contractor well being. I loved the diversity, challenges and complexity of my position. I was the main point of contact with a rotation of 7 weeks on and 1 week off, yes, 1 week. I know, dedicated or crazy, I am still unsure.

Chevron taught me so much as well as NES. I appreciate the opportunity and experience.

While I am taking a week off to catch up on much needed sleep and rest, I am open to new opportunities.

I am considering my options, I am also thinking of opening a business, as well as many other things.

I am positive and know this is the beginning of my next exciting chapter. Let it be a great year and great new start.
