MARK ELLA 'the Great'...finally residing in a new/old safer home for good...!
MARK ELLA...the Great... in a NEW HOME!
The National Art Gallery recently 'inducted' for it's test team of ball players, the indomitable, affable, nonchalant and ever nonplussed Mark 'Marcus' Ella, a player of huge reputation in Australia and globally too, who not only scored tries on the rugby field but also kicked goals off it with the likes of: Rothmans' Sports Foundation, DDB Needham, Horton-Ella, and many others companies that dared to hire him ('the very elusive ever backing up Wallaby five eighth') and of latel with major contributions to SBS TV Channel and its divisional ultra popular vehicle NITV!
Mark as usual, was wondering between beers 'what the fuss was all about'. Mark mixed with old and new friends at the ubiquitous PIERMARQ ART GALLERY of Paddington while he received a superior distinction and higher honour of being offered to 'live permanently' (rent & taxes free) at the National Art Gallery in Canberra and with top brass company. 'Bad news' Mark 'quipped' to his wife Kim, the place is horribly cold...and too quiet!
Well done Mark! - I feel very honoured by your long time friendship which dates back to your visit to Argentina in 1982 when you played with a WORLD XV vs the PUMAS against Hugo Porta at Ferro Carril Oeste Stadium in Buenos Aires.
Cheers, big ears, and pig's ears without fears...
