Today's focus is on the below verse.

"Revelation 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:"

And he causeth all:

The earth/everyone who lives on earth. This is a worldwide mandate.

"Revelation 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed."

both small and great:

Literal: the powerless (small) and the powerful (great)

Spiritual: Beasts (small) and those who fear the LORD (great).

"Psalms 104:25 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts."

"Psalms 115:13 He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great."

"Revelation 19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great."

"Revelation 19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great."

rich and poor:

Literal: the rich (materially wealthy) and the poor (materially not wealthy)

Spiritual: the rich (God's Elect) and the poor (all beasts, the unsaved)

"Proverbs 21:17 He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich."

"Proverbs 22:2 The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all."

"Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:"

free and bond:

Literal: free (out of jail/prison/slavery) and bond (in jail/prison/slavery)

Spiritual: free (saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) and bond (the unsaved)

Basically, everyone on earth.

"1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."

"Colossians 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all."

"Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."

to receive a:

"power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing" to those who don't bear fruit for God's/Jesus's kingdom. These people have withered spiritual fruits but fruitful material/earthly gain.

"Jeremiah 5:3 O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return."

"Mark 12:2 And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard."

"Luke 19:12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return."

"Revelation 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing."

fruit of the vineyard:

"Song of Songs 8:11 Solomon had a vineyard at Baalhamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand pieces of silver."

"1 Corinthians 9:7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?"

"Proverbs 27:18 Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured."

a mark in:

"Ezekiel 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof."

"Revelation 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,"

in their right hand:

"2 Chronicles 4:7 And he made ten candlesticks of gold according to their form, and set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left."

"2 Chronicles 4:20 Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold;"

"Matthew 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:"

"Matthew 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps."

"Revelation 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches."

"Psalms 17:7 Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in theefrom those that rise up against them."

"Psalms 26:10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes."

"Isaiah 33:15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood ,and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;"

Bribes are also the gain of oppressions; Apostate Christians and the secular unbelieving world oppress and kill true Christians for monetary gain. This is the mark of the beast in the right hand.

or in their/or in their foreheads:

"Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

"Acts 17:21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)"

"Luke 3:15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;"

They don't have the seal of God:

"Revelation 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."

"Revelation 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads."

"Revelation 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads."

God's name (Jesus Christ) is in the foreheads of His servants, and those, who do not have His name in their foreheads, have the name of the beast in theirs.

and his name:

"Deuteronomy 6:13 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name."

"Psalms 69:36 The seed also of his servants shall inherit it:and they that love his name shall dwell therein."

"Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

"Isaiah 12:4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted."

"Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."

"Matthew 12:21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust."

"John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive."

"Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister."

God's name (reputation) is full of good deeds. Salvation is the greatest deed and Good News that anyone could receive.

"1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment."

"Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels."

This is the beast's name:

"Revelation 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

"Revelation 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon."

"Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy."

God's name (Jesus) is also His tabernacle (Church, Elect, Saints).

"Revelation 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven."

God says to fear not!

"Ezekiel 3:8-10 Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads. As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. 10 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears."
