Marine Traffic Density - Fascinating!

We all have seen live or in movies how busy the air traffic controller screens can be, but have you ever paused and thought about marine traffic? 

While providing one of our customers with a secure offshore private LTE network, I was drawn again to look at marine traffic.  

Organizations operating offshore, such as oil companies, require a highly secure and private LTE mobile network to deliver safe mobile operations communications at platforms, drillships, and associated vessels. Having a look at offshore marine traffic will help you gain a new perspective on the amount of marine activities we generate with our need for food, goods, and of course oil products and derivatives. To me, marine traffic is just as fascinating as air traffic. Just like in air traffic, the objects, in this case, vessels, come in all shape and size; however, their speed, journey, and the payload are quite different from air traffic. Have a look at a snapshot from one of the free marine tracking websites.
