Marine Society Awards

It was a privilege to accept two awards this past October 11th 2017 at the Annual Court Trinity House, Tower Hill, London UK. Serving at sea offshore Nigeria I unfortunately could not attend the awards event but Captain Harry Gale FNI was kind enough to represent me and accept the awards on my behalf from CEO BP Shipping Susan Dio.

It is always nice to have your endeavours acknowledged especially on occasion when it is your peers recognising such achievement and life long learning. More importantly for me is to acknowledge and commend those that do so much for seafarers in the field of education, advancing learning opportunities and knowledge.

This journey for me would not have been possible without the encouragement in the first instance of the staff of the Marine Society and the invaluable work that they do, and have been doing since 1756, to provide educational opportunities to seafarers. With their partners they provide learning, personal development opportunities, scholarships and guidance to seafarers globally.
