MSIB 99-22 | Brownsville Ship Channel - Shipbreaking Work Issue Date: October 11, 2022
The International Shipbreaking Limited facility, located adjacent to the Brownsville Ship Channel, is actively dismantling and disposing of 2 U.S. Navy ships through December 2024. All passing vessels (including tour boats, fishing vessels, and recreational vessels) should remain in the channel and away from shipbreaking activity due to potential hazards associated with overhead industrial work.?

MSIB 100-22 | Safety Zone:?Pipeline Removal – Corpus Christi Ship Channel near Aransas Terminal Co.? Issue Date: October 12, 2022
The Captain of the Port is establishing a safety zone in the Corpus Christi Shipping Channel from October 13, 2022 to October 14, 2022 between the hours of 10am and 2pm The coordinates of the work area are: 27°50'31.28”N, 97°04'17.23”W; 27°50'31.73”N, 97°04'15.44”W; 27°50'29.06”N, 097°04'16.61”W; 27°50'29.32”N, 97°04'14.8”W. This location is near the Aransas Terminal Company. No vessels 500GT or greater shall transit through the safety zone without permission from the U.S. Coast Guard. Inland barges and associated tugs and vessels less than 500GT will be able the transit the safety zone by making passing arranges with the M/V GRADY RAY and M/V MS MONIE.?
