With half the 2021-2022 season in the books, the Import of the Year race is also gearing up to be a tight one. Here is March’s edition of the P. LEAGUE+ Porsche Import of the Year Ladder.

Qualifier: import players that play at least 20 games, voted by basketball media and fans.?

1. Singh Bhullar 25.62 PPG 20.46 RPG 2.31 BPG

With a staggering seven 20-20 performances in the season so far, Sim Bhullar is in?contention for the most dominant player in the league right now. The 7’5 center leading the league in points and rebounds, and his 34-31 game against the Formosa Taishin Dreamers will be remembered in the P. LEAGUE+ history books for years to come; Bhullar’s league leading 1.12 PPP (points per possession) also makes him the most efficient scorer in the game. The combination of offensive and defensive dominance solidifies Bhullar’s award case.?

2. Thomas Welsh 18.27 PPG 18.09 RPG 2 APG

A standout performer through the season, Thomas Welsh continues to prove his worth?by showcasing the rare ability to stretch the floor while defending the paint as a five. While not the statistical anomaly like Bhullar, Welsh is a monster in his own right, and his 14-28-6 performance in his debut backs that up firmly. Welsh is also one of the few imports that has a USG% below 20%, making his presence felt while not demanding a ton of on ball action. The New Taipei Kings will continue to rely on his versatility in their championship quest.?

3. Michael Anthony Singletary 21.92 PPG 12.31 RPG 3.54 APG

The reigning Finals MVP is having himself quite a season. Having 5 straight double-double performances to start the season, Mike Singletary is looking as sharp as ever, providing consistent scoring and establishing himself as a premiere triple threat option. Though failing to score over 20 points since January, Singletary's resume for the season still suggests he’s a strong candidate to take home the award.?

4. Nicholas David Jordan Faust 24.5 PPG 7.8 RPG 2.4 APG

The Hsinchu Jko Lioneers have a professional bucket getter in Nick Faust. Faust’s New?Year’s 45 point explosion broke the league record for scoring and his six straight 20+ point games since the start of the season all suggest he’s among the league’s best shot creators. Finger injuries and a shooting slump has slowed him down since late January, but Faust’s microwave scoring is bound to reignite at some point in the season again.?

5. Devin Ray Robinson 24 PPG 13.18 RPG 2.18 SPG

Arguably the league’s best high-flying highlight machine, Devin Robinson is also one of?the best scorers in the game right now. Robinson has scored over 20 points in 8 out of his 11 outings so far and has showcased a wide range of offensive repertoire spanning from midrange pull-ups to poster dunks. With the Taoyuan Pilots looking to make a run at the playoffs, Robinson has a chance to climb the awards ladder as well.?
