Women in Construction Week March 5-11, 2023

WIC Week was back to celebrate the incredible women who are making waves in the construction industry! Since 1998, NAWIC has been championing women in construction, and every year WIC Week gets bigger and better. From giving presentations to high school students to hosting virtual events, job site tours, and luncheons it's all about bringing women in this industry together.

FM Events that happened this March

The Cleaning Show 2023 returned to London in March and exceeded all expectations. With over 6,700 attendees and 100 cleaning and hygiene suppliers, the event was a huge success. Sustainability, technology, and recruitment were the focus of many of the showcased products. The Conference Theatre was a highlight of the show, featuring discussions on Brexit's impact, sustainability, and employee wellbeing. The event showcased the future of the cleaning industry, making it an amazing success.

Futurebuild wrapped up its annual event from 7-9th March, bringing together attendees from across the built environment sector to promote innovation, share knowledge, and network. With over 17,800 visitors, 500 speakers, 400 exhibitors, 135 sessions, and 90 curators, the event was a huge success, highlighting the importance of sustainability and innovation. Futurebuild also celebrated innovation through its Big Innovation Pitch and new Big Ideas Pitch, showcasing the best in sustainable solutions.

What's been happening at Boden?

Our high flyers got to ditch the office for a day and put on their finest hats and suits at the Cheltenham races. The team definitely looked the part and had a blast betting on horses and soaking up the atmosphere.

Back at the office, we've kicked off preparations for our next internal recruitment academy - we can't wait to see what new talent we'll be bringing to the team.

We also had Alex Charraudeau & Sean Charles from LinkedIn come in and run a masterclass for our people, sharing their insights on how to build a strong personal brand and make meaningful connections on the platform.

But we haven't just been all work and no play - we're proud to say we've already started our charity fundraising efforts for Birmingham City Mission, with our first quiz of the year led by the one and only Michael McAllister .

And speaking of celebrations, we also marked our 11th birthday! ?? Plus, we've been supporting our employees who are taking part in Ramadan, making sure they have the flexibility and support they need during this important time.

It's been a busy, exciting time at Boden and we can't wait to see what'll be happening in April!
