After a?whirlwind?month of February, we are still playing 'catchup' - hence our combined newsletter for March/April!
We were delighted to participate in two?MBA (Mortgage Bankers Association)?conferences in February, adding value to the attendee experience onsite - see?Spotlight.?And we began March with a virtual presentation to the?Connecticut MBA Young Mortgage Professionals?group, sharing best practices to use LinkedIn more effectively for branding and marketing. This past week we were the featured speaker for the?NAMMBA SoFLo?chapter's inaugural member meeting in Fort Lauderdale. (National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America). What we do onsite at conferences is a?very unique benefit?for attendees -?contact us for details!
Successful corporations are learning to build consumer trust by focusing more on?Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).?The more socially responsible the company, the more supportive its community and consumers become.?Congratulations?to our CSR corporation of the month:?COCA-COLA ?whose focus is sustainability and, to date, they have reduced their carbon footprint by 25%. I was recently reminded of the importance of staying in touch with family and friends in addition to our clients. Sudden losses will spark that importance and I, personally, have wasted no time arranging engagement with friends and associates close to me. The 3-week solo road trip I did in September was unforgettable, enabling me to reconnect with so many important people in my life,?and it seems like it took place years ago. Why not take a moment right now and make a date with someone you've been thinking about?

POSTING - TRY THIS
As I grew my network into several thousand Connections (I've been using LinkedIn for 14 years,) I became a rather prolific poster, thinking that since everyone would not see everything I post, why not? I would typically post several times a day. The webinar research I did to produce our January webinar about the?LinkedIn Algorithm?changed my mind! As hard as it was, I began following what I had learned from LI members I truly admire for their LinkedIn prowess and I began posting?once a day, ensuring at least 18hrs to separate my posts. Since we work within several time zones, 11am EST has become my favorite time to post on a consistent basis. My views have?doubled?and have sometimes even?tripled?since following this strategy which is new for me. SHOW ALL ACTIVITY
Scroll down from the top of any profile just a few inches to see the member's?Activity. (Hopefully, this is already part of your?vetting process?when you've been invited to Connect by a total stranger!) Tap?Show All Activity?and soon you will see a new display of headers. The?old?headers: All Activity - Articles - Posts - Documents. The?new?headers will offer Posts - Comments - Images - Reactions. I'm looking forward to discovering Posts & Comments more quickly to see the type of engagement the member is supporting. We?strongly?suggest you think twice about welcoming any negative or controversial content into your network.

REPOST
When you've gained decent engagement from a post, which we generally determine a couple of days after the post is up, consider?reposting?it to reach even more of your network. This can be useful when promoting an event, an important announcement, or something of particular value you wish to emphasize. (Super Tip:?You can also?Feature?that post on your profile.)?HOW TO REPOST:?Visit your profile > Activity > Show all Activity > Posts. Find the one you want to repost and under it, tap 'Repost' and?always?choose to repost with your thoughts! Introduce it with a sentence as to?why?you are sharing it again.
