March - The Morse diaries
Morse on the Coquet river path

March - The Morse diaries

Its the start of spring so Morse & I explored the River Coquet and found ourselves into absurdly pretty market town/large village (2,200 people so which is it?) of Rothbury.

Above Rothbury, as the river enters the National Park, the valley is referred to as Upper Coquetdale. In the autumn you can watch the salmon leap, In midwinter water sits in the flood plain & now in early spring & before lambing there is a pause before the water meadows turn into a riot of wild flowers.
