Are you wasting time on social media?

Love it or hate it, social media is the most powerful tool you have in your arsenal to market your business. But, you may not be seeing the traction you’d like with the content you’re currently posting. You might be coming to think that social media is a waste of time…

Hold that thought! Social media isn’t a waste of time, but the way you’re approaching it may be the real time waster.

Here’s 3 of the biggest time-wasting habits that we see many businesses doing and what you should be doing instead:

  1. Seeing popular posts and trying to copy their success: This rarely ever works. Instead, prioritise making unique content that people haven’t seen before, particularly content that has a strong opinion that will encourage people to engage with you.

  1. Posting huge amounts of content every day hoping something catches on: Never, ever do this! Social media algorithms punish you massively for this and even the content you post that could have been popular will be less likely to be seen because the algorithm is punishing you account for spam posting.

  1. Posting content and ignoring the analytics returned from that content: All social media platforms have built in analytics software that you can use to inform you of what your most engaging posts are; ignore these analytics is a sure fire way of wasting your time creating content your audience simply doesn’t care about.?

Is TV Advertising Still Effective in 2024?

When all the discourse around marketing and advertising in 2024 seems to be purely about digital, the question arises: is TV advertising still a relevant and effective avenue for businesses?

To answer that question, we simply need to take a look at the statistics! In 2022, we watched 2h, 41m of broadcaster TV each day with an additional 37 minutes of subscription VOD viewing. TV advertising accounted for 84% of the video advertising we saw each day. 959 advertisers used TV for the first time in 2022.?

Here’s arguably the most impressive stat, Linear TV and Broadcaster VOD reached a combined total of 91% of the adult population each week. 91%!?

You can’t ask for much more than that when considering the effectiveness of a platform for advertising and marketing purposes!
