The Difference Between Winning and Succeeding

The Difference Between Winning and Succeeding

The American basketball phenomenon of March Madness will soon be upon us. Tens of millions will be engrossed in watching over 200 men’s and women’s games played in a span of three weeks.

But for some, there is life beyond basketball—as is evident in this TED talk by the renowned John Wooden. More than an accomplished player and superb coach with one of the winningest records of all time, he was an inspiring teacher and thinker. This articulate and insightful discussion is even more amazing when one realizes it was recorded when Coach Wooden was 90.

For fans who can’t view the video now, take 17 minutes during half time of the first March Madness game to watch and learn from a legend.
