In the February edition, we highlighted one of our research findings (more than 50% of respondents across diverse age groups prefer a great team environment) from The Future of Workforce 2023 report and the need to elicit humanistic-encouraging behaviors to foster a great team environment. So, are other vital components contributing to team synergy and a great team environment? Yes. It's 'connection' - connection within and across teams and with the organization.

According to RedThread Research, 2022, organizations with more connection were:

  • 5.4x more likely to be agile
  • 3.2x more likely to have satisfied customers
  • 2.3x more likely to have engaged employees.

Connection is good for employees and organizations. A culture of mutual respect and trust is the foundational element that helps the connection blossom.

Hosting First Panel Discussion?

'When tough decisions must be made, empathy and compassion can go a long way'.

This was the theme of our recent Panel Discussion held on March 9th at 7 AM GMT, with the topic being "Balancing the Business with a Human Touch during Layoffs".

The session was navigated by the moderator asking questions to the panelists. The panelists gave their insights on the human approach to layoffs and shared their personal experiences. It was a very informative and eye-opening session that kept the audience engaged.?

Zero Discrimination

On March 1st, people worldwide observe Zero Discrimination Day to promote the idea that everyone deserves to live with respect, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, skin color, etc. The United Nations marked this day on March 1, 2014. The butterfly is the emblem of Zero Prejudice Day.

Zero discrimination in the workplace means treating everyone fairly and equally, regardless of their attributes. It's about creating a work environment that celebrates diversity, fosters inclusivity, and ensures everyone has the same opportunities to succeed.

So, let's all work together towards a workplace where discrimination has no place - where everyone feels valued, respected, and accepted for who they are!

Here are some points to consider when striving for zero discrimination in the workplace:

  • Implement clear policies and guidelines in organizations to prohibit discrimination and ensure that all employees know them.
  • Provide equal opportunities to job, promotions, and training programs regardless of employees' attributes.
  • Encourage diversity and create an inclusive culture that respects and values differences in people.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment where all employees feel respected and valued.
  • Address discriminatory behavior and ensure that appropriate disciplinary action is taken against offenders.
  • Support employees subjected to discrimination, including counseling, mentoring, and legal advice.
  • Provide continuous learning and development around diversity and inclusion to ensure employees have the knowledge and skills necessary to create an inclusive workplace.
