March Edition
Welcome back to our monthly newsletter, Electrification Connect, which is designed for the entire community.?
In every direction we turn today, we encounter unified themes emphasising the creation of a cleaner, more sustainable future. From Sir David Attenborough's latest BBC documentary, which highlights the dangers of climate change, to government officials establishing stringent sustainability targets, and businesses reshaping their models to develop eco-friendly solutions, a collective vision for a greener tomorrow is emerging. Amidst this convergence of efforts, I am particularly heartened by the robust support aimed at fostering UK skills growth and empowering individuals to contribute effectively to the electrification industries.
The Electric Revolution Skills Hub has evolved from merely a digital platform to a true central node for the electrification community. Witnessing this vision materialise and positively affect the lives and futures of people across the UK is immensely gratifying. The ERS Hub demonstrates the power of collective effort and on this note, I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who has invested their time and reinforced the principles of the Electric Revolution Skills Hub. This includes the Hub's Industry Advisory Board, Steering Board, UKRI, Coventry University, Partners, and the ERS Delivery Team—your contributions have been pivotal to our success.
While the ERS Hub is built on a solid foundation, poised to support the electrification skills community for years to come, our journey does not end here. The UK must persist in its innovation and strive to secure its position in a greener future. This requires continuous support for individuals to discover rewarding careers and opportunities in emerging markets, which are at risk of stagnation without the necessary skills and knowledge to drive innovation, research, and entrepreneurship.
However, based on the ERS Hub's achievements and the growth of its community over the past year, I am optimistic. We are cultivating an innovation-rich, cleaner future for all. The ERS Hub and its dedicated community and team are set to further invigorate the skills ecosystem, with the next 12 months promising even greater advancements.
