Hello,
"Nothing is constant, everything changes", says a Japanese Buddhist proverb. As a matter of fact, I have this tattooed on my right ribs. I only got into tattooing a few years ago, during lockdown, and at the end of April I am down for another bigger piece.
Why am I telling you this? If you had asked me 20 years ago whether I wanted to work for myself, I probably would have said "no"; same about a tattoo. But things have changed. For me today, there is no greater satisfaction of serving more than one client, spreading myself across a variety of companies. Maybe you think it's arrogant, but I don't want to limit my wisdom to just one client. My intention has always been to 'help others'.
And, Accenture Pulse of Change 2024 Index indicates that the rate of change in organisations has risen 183% in the last 4 years. That's A LOT of change.
We are heading towards Easter, and I still have 3 coaching places available. Contact me today and book a free consultation to discuss how we can work together. Anyone booking before Easter gets a 10% discount on top of any of my coaching packages. My initial website is now live: www.obnat.us
Because, with a coach on your side, you can improve things like empathy, earning trust, communication and leadership excellence. Topics my friends at SIY identified as key skills to guide successful change.
And to stay with change, I decided to modify the content I am sharing with you. It's been a few years with me compiling 9 articles each month. Instead, I will boil it down to 5 top articles that I find 'read-worthy' and they will cover subjects from leadership, self-development, and business/sales.?
And, my over 1,000 LinkedIn subscribers get the same content as the 4,500 direct subscribers. That's a bonus too!
Not only will this be easier to compile, it will also be quicker for you to read. I know some of you really enjoy the content, and I hope you continue to do so.
Additionally, there is another change:
In line with me focusing more on the coaching work I do, I want to share a top tip, some advice I am pondering about each month. This will be supported by a new blog and content which goes live in due course on my website www.obnat.us - for now I have some information about coaching for you on there. More to come!
Today's pondering is about productivity and notifications. I find too many coaching clients that still have audio and visual notifications for every message, email, slack or whats app. Whether that's on your desktop or mobile, the problem is that it disrupts your flow. Once you do some actual work, and you are in the flow, you don't want to be constantly disturbed.
Turn those notifications off, modify them for only important ones (family for instance, not your boss!), and start to take back control of your time. Be in charge of how you spend your time, and get the work done you need to get done.
The balanced state of 'work-life' or 'health' or 'body-mind' - nothing is constant, and you have to work hard on that balance. Each of them individually, until you arrive at your balanced point.
Please let me know if you enjoy the new content.
Until next time, have a Happy Easter ??
Volker
